The other day I posted in a soaping Face Book group a small video of the soap packaging that I was working on.  I was so surprised with the overwhelming positive comments.  There were some neutral comments as well, but when you put a video out there and you ask people what they think – they will tell you 🙂  I don’t mind.  I appreciate the honesty and the feedback.

The FB group, Soap Making and Business Coaching, is an awesome forum for learning tips and tricks from others.  You can post a question to this group and literally within minutes you get multiple responses.

The group of soapers are all very supportive of each other.  There were a few of them who reached out to me on the posts as well as through messenger to ask if I would post a tutorial.  I was thrilled to be asked and set about recording a video last evening.  Hence, I decided to put together a quick tutorial.

I recorded and edited the video and when I uploaded it, of course I uploaded it to the PUBLIC, there were several minutes of unedited conversation between my and my nephew, and me asking Alexa to hang up the call.  Embarrassing !!  I had a few moments of distracted driving as pulled the video down during my drive into work!!

Anyway, back to the mission at hand.  Creating a soap packaging that would allow me to protect the soap and allow customers to see and smell the soaps.

I love paper crafting and have been a scrapbooker for years.  This was the perfect time to use my scrapbooking tools and come up with a unique design.  I hope you like it and take some inspiration for packaging of your own.  Please let me know if you have any questions!

MATERIALS NEEDED

• 1 – 8.5 x 11 in thick cardstock
• scissors
• Scoring tool (or ruler and pencil)
• 24 inches of  twine
• Label of your choice
• Tape (I used Crafty Power Tape)
• Hole punch
• 1″ paper punch
• Something to cut hole in the top of the box (you can cut a circle, square, etc).  I used a Big Shot machine with a die- totally not necessary but since I have it – why not use it
